Saturday June 18, 2016 at the AOWIE Women's Conference held at  Rutgers University, was one of the best days ever! The wonderful Ms. Jasmin Guy purchased 2 of my handmade dolls. What a proud moment that was for me. Ms. Dionne Warwick and Dr Loretta Long (Susan of Sesame Street) was also in attendance. It was a very inspirational event. Vendors were outstanding and friendly. Networking was done by all. Lisa Ascolese is the wonderful founder of this organization and promoter of this event. I can't wait for the next event!!!

Sprucing up the line!

Time for spruce ups and do overs as I am down to 8 dolls in my inventory. 500 on the sewing block lolol!! Where does the time go to finish. Working on some new dolls. Hopefully they will be done by Friday!! Can't wait to share!

We were there from the beginning and before. We are the world and the universe. We are wisdom. When women get together what a time! Could it be anything less than good food, spoken word, prayer, health, beauty, wealth. So many wonderful guests! From mothers to grandmothers, nurses, midwives, beauty consultants, dancing singing. You need something? There will be an exhibit denoting the "Wisdom of a Woman". Come and join us in the "kitchen" creating a fabric square for the unity quilt. Leave a piece of history behind.
